Husband Hat

I did it!!
I finished a hat for my husband in time for a big snow fall!

After making a hat for his brother, J asked me to make one for him. We went together and J picked out the yarn.

I made this hat a little different from the last one, as I added 2 rows of double crochet stitches at the end, instead of higher up on the hat.

J said he liked it.
He wore it a lot in public and to work.

Now, for the pattern.

Author's Note:
If you are having problems with this pattern, check your tension. I've followed this same pattern to make over seven more hats.
I added a few photos to show a new Husband Hat I made for my husband because he lost the first one. There is a partial progress photo to help you see what it should look like partway through.
Below, are some of the hat and scarf sets I made.

I find that the Husband Hat goes well with the Husband Scarf

So easy and fast that I made five sets in less than a month.

  3. I have been trying this pattern a few times now but the farther I get on my rows and I go to do a sl st in the beg chain it doesnt always line up with the beginning ch and it causes my sl st in eachrow to be crooked as I go down and makes the top wavy, what am I doing wrong!?!?

  4. Unknown, I don't know enough to tell you what you are doing wrong. I recommend using a stitch holder/placemark so you know where the start of the row is.
