I finished a hat for my husband in time for a big snow fall!
After making a hat for his brother, J asked me to make one for him. We went together and J picked out the yarn.
I made this hat a little different from the last one, as I added 2 rows of double crochet stitches at the end, instead of higher up on the hat.

If you are having problems with this pattern, check your tension. I've followed this same pattern to make over seven more hats.
I added a few photos to show a new Husband Hat I made for my husband because he lost the first one. There is a partial progress photo to help you see what it should look like partway through.
Below, are some of the hat and scarf sets I made.
I find that the Husband Hat goes well with the Husband Scarf

So easy and fast that I made five sets in less than a month.

OMG, I just found your pattern on Ravelry, as I'm looking for something for my boyfriend J, we already picked out the yarn I just needed to find the right pattern that I as a beginner can make. I'll be starting this one tomorrow! two similarities, make me chose this one. thanks!
ReplyDeleteOk... I need one more present for my brother for Christmas, and I think I can make this happen tomorrow. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI have been trying this pattern a few times now but the farther I get on my rows and I go to do a sl st in the beg chain it doesnt always line up with the beginning ch and it causes my sl st in eachrow to be crooked as I go down and makes the top wavy, what am I doing wrong!?!?
ReplyDeleteUnknown, I don't know enough to tell you what you are doing wrong. I recommend using a stitch holder/placemark so you know where the start of the row is.
ReplyDeleteLove your ideas. Made a hat n scarf for my 17 year old son. He loved it. Thank you for sharing
